Welcome! 5th Grade will learn a tremendous amount of knowledge this year. We will make lots of memories by working hard. Religion will cover the parts of the mass and all the sacraments. In Reading we will read short stories and several novels like Wonder, Feathers, Sign of the Beaver and Bridge to Terabithia along with Accelerated Reading. Students will strengthen their knowledge of grammar and writing. Spelling will have new words every week. In Social Studies US History will be our topic while learning all the states and capitals. All of this will be accomplished while the Holy Spirit guides us.

Report-
1st paragraph should be a general overview of who the poet is. Do not state in this paragraph “This paragraph is about…”, “In the following paragraph…” or “I’m going to tell you about…” Never say “paragraph”, “essay”, or “report”.
2nd paragraph is about how the poet became a writer.
3rd paragraph is what the poet wrote about.
