Mrs. Rubio

Welcome SHA Families!

My name is Astrid Rubio, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as a first-grade teacher here at St. Hyacinth Academy. My educational journey began at LABI, where I earned my Associate of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and Theology in 2014. I then continued my studies at Vanguard University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood in 2020. Currently, I am pursuing my master’s degree in Teaching and Learning at Southeastern University and look forward to graduating in the spring of 2026.

I have been blessed to work in the field of education for seven years. During this time, I began as a preschool teacher, then transitioned and served as a Guided Reading Spanish teacher for a public school, and for the past three years, I have had the joy of teaching first grade here at St. Hyacinth Academy.

Education is more than just my career—it is my passion and calling. I am committed to creating a stronger foundation for today’s students while also helping shape a better educational path for generations to come. With faith as my guide, I strive to contribute to the growth of a learning community that values both knowledge and character.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

God Bless!
